What an awesome event we went to this weekend. It's like the Amazing Race for Geocachers. Our team was comprised of Dustanne and Myself along with 2 other geocaching couples the Curnews and the two ladies known as Tite Lines. All six of us trudged through the rain and muck to each geocache and preformed various task at each one.
Some of those tasks included puzzle making, maze solving, picture coloring, but my most memorable one was the rubber dingy ride Sharron and I took to a small island on Butzen lake to find a cache. This was the first cache to start the day and it was raining so needless to say we got soaked from the knees down to start off the race. It didn't take long though to semi dry up and with all the hussling I never managed to get cold.
We had a passport book we had to fill with stamps from each cache to prove we were there and had found it. We got them all and placed 6th out of 20 teams. Not bad for a day's work. This was the second year Dustanne and I have participated and we can't wait for next years rally to improve our placement.
At least this time it wasn't my whole family trying to navigate the waters of the Burrard inlet panicking all the way there and back as the current was taking us farther and farther away from the location we needed to get too. We learned alot that day and this time around it was smooth sailing.
