Caching with a newbie

Well it's been a while as it was a slow, snowy, and cold December and January. It looks like we might get another blast soon as they are calling for more snow tonight. Anyways we have been getting out for a few caches here and there and I have started my winter fly tying albeit a bit late this year. Still I have plenty of time before the lakes thaw to fill my fly boxes. I got a new 4wt rod and reel thanks to a fellow cacher and fly fisher Northlang of Galilee Fly Shop. Can't wait to get out there and try some casts with the new setup.

We recently had the priviledge of sharing some first caches with one of geocachings newest members brfoster. He tagged along with the Contants (that's us)to a few caches in the Chilliwack area. Boy did we have fun. I also at the same time got to test out geocaching with my new iPhone. Not to bad of an experience but it does lack in battery life when on long walk geocaches.

Best Red and I have had the pleasure of and are currently Beta testing an up and coming geocaching application for the iPhone soon to be released. A fantastic application to say the least with many great features. Well that's all I have for now. Stay tuned as I update you on a few caches I am working on and I'll try to get some of my fly tying creations into a photo show for you and post it up here on the blog.

Cheer's for now & until then keep on cachin or castin.
